T-minus 5 days

Here we go now. Here we go here we go here we go now. What was once just a mere thought has now become action. Something that this contributor is used to seeing happen. So many times I have had to prove myself against people’s disbelief’s in me, and every time I get better at doing it. In fact, family included there are only two people in this world who have never scoffed at me for anything; my dad King Errisson, and one of my best friends Jesus Diaz. Around them I am me completely but everywhere else it is a battle. A battle that I intend to win. What makes this experience different though? Well for starters I’m taking on an entire industry. An entire business model if you will. I’m putting my faith not only in the people, but in myself, and that I do have what it takes to affect the masses while not selling myself short of my artistic capabilities, and ideas. Also I won’t really know if this M4TP plan will resonate for at least 8-12 months.

Already there are supporters. This is great. Some people have surprised me and some have broken my heart but support anywhere it can be had is amazing. Thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to those who are with me, this, us. Thank you as well to those who do not accept me for me, and to those who do not believe, and to those who do not want this to succeed. It is fuel and a necessity. Also thank you to all who critique. Positive or negative you are doing exactly what I always wanted. Making up your own mind. You may enjoy an electro rumbling cover of ‘6 Underground’ and you may prefer the original. You may enjoy a bouncy piano pop song with a vocalist reminiscent to Lily Allen or Kate Nash or it may be too soft for you but as stated in our original mission statement, YOU have the choice. It all boils down to you.

We do not get paid for this. Of course we are all artist available for hire in our own respective realms but when it comes down to M4TP, it will always be M4TP. It will always be free, new, undiscovered, rising, hidden gem of an entity. It is a voice, that has multiplied into voices. Hopefully one day it can be your voice that screams along with us. We hope you always remember that. In the future, no matter if M4TP is still at the level it is now or if is the next American Sensation remember what was said right here. It will always be free, new, and take risk. If at any time these promises are not met you can call me out on it with my own words.

Get involved! You don’t like us talk shit, turn the other way, bash us, do something. If you would rather listen to what is on the radio then tell us why. Shout it out. Make the music that you believe in mean something! I am a number one proponent of learning everyday. I never stop learning. No matter how knowledgeable I am on a certain topic or trade I always keep my mind open. So help me to see why Yung Joc, or Diddy Dirty Money resonates with you, versus the new project from Danger Mouse, Daniel Lupi, Norah Jones, and Jack White. Or why you would prefer to listen to, I don’t know Fall Out Boy versus some Jimi Hendrix. If there is reason, there is truth. With truth there is substance, and the subjective veil that colors each and every one of our corneas is lifted. If you choose to entertain the thought of learning that is.

On the other hand if you enjoy what we are doing. If you have thoughts of how to reach even more people. If you would like to donate to our cause, and donations would greatly be appreciated, wink wink, then go ahead and do it. M4TP is the people’s music label. Do something about it.

Forward Thinking

So here we are. Staring down the barrel of the gun ready to take the full force of the public’s eye. So far so good though. The reaction to our little underground movement has been positive to say the least. Artist are signing on to be a part of M4TP by the droves, and songs are stacking up like old unread magazines.

This weekend we will be completing the last two songs that need to be recorded for the first EP, then moving into post-production. We’re all happy, and excited. Please help spread the word further. Talk to your friends, let them know what we’re about, and share. After all, that’s what this is all about. The people. No separation, no red tape. Just Art, Expression, then you. Isn’t that what it was supposed to be all along. So let’s keep it that way. I suppose it’s only a matter of time till corporate America tries to corrupt every living, pure thing, it can get it’s hands on, but with examples like NIN, and Radiohead one has to believe there is hope. Maybe not. In addition to, maybe there can be a purity achieved that doesn’t require an artist to be a multi-platinum selling artist that can take the hit if your fans decide to not pay for anything at all. Please forgive if the details seem a bit obscure. We are going on the assumption that you know what we’re talking about in terms of what Radiohead, and NIN did within the last few years. It was awesome.

Anyway the horizon is there, so we will continue to sail onward.:-) Spread the word!

Hello world!

Okay. Here we go. We are ecstatic to be one step closer to the whole purpose of this idea. This revolution. This fight that begins with you the people. This is not a corporation. THis is not some man in a suit with the next cutting edge idea. This is just heart and soul. The main ingredients that are missing from Music today.

There once was a time when Moguls and execs actually cared about the music they put out. Cared about the artist they looked for. These artist were not viewed, and looked at as just a meal ticket, or sure fire hit to bring in massive revenue. These artist, and the music were treated as unique entities. Many wonder why the music industry is failing. Well plain and simple, at the core of its constant failing is this right here. There is no love from the people in charge anymore. There is only greed, laziness, and just a complete non-interest or care for the music that is put out.

In all seriousness these execs are looking at each artist like they are dollar signs Is it any wonder why the most successful artist of the last few years have all been discovered by other artist? Artist still care! And the artist that are lucky enough to find there big break and who actually have a vision in their mind know what they’re doing. GAGA, DRAKE, MINAJ. Even reaching back to EMINEM, 50, and to a modest extent ROBIN THICKE. Execs just do not know what they are doing. That’s why they flood the markets with shit that sounds like everything else. Hoping to find the next big thing. Is it any wonder why KESHA came out right as Gaga was primed for world domination. The funny thing is, if you ask most music lovers who actually still listen to the radio about Kesha, most of them can’t stand her anymore. People aren’t stupid, even if they don’t realize it. Lemme say that again. People are not stupid, even if they don’t realize it. Your body, your soul, your heart knows what is real and what is a temporary fix.

These are issues that are not going away ever. THe music industry is on a downward spiral, and is becoming more corrupt by the second. We just wanna piss some execs off. We just wanna connect with the listeners again like it used to be. Starting this April we will be tweeting our locations and handing out free music featuring some of the most talented artrist that you don’t know yet or perhaps are already on their way.
